1-With
the Touch of a Button
The panic button may be worn as a necklace, or a bracelet. Both styles are waterproof
and offer optimum range of typically 600 feet or more. In addition, one medical
alarm unit will work with up to eight different panic buttons simultaneously. When
monitored by the LifeSignal 911 Response Center,
the panic button's battery status is reported every time it is pressed. This is
an example of the type of innovation that sets LifeSignal 911 apart from other medical
alert companies.
2-Get Help When You
Need it
The LifeSignal 911 medical alert is equipped with
an internal rechargeable battery; the battery provides uninterrupted power to your
medical alert for up to 90 hours if AC power is lost. This means that even during
an extended power outage, you will still be able to communicate with the response
center through your medical alert. When AC power is restored, the medical alert
will automatically recharge its battery. When comparing other medical alarm company's
products you will find battery life times of 8 or 12 hours. LifeSignal 911 makes
sure that you can get help when you need it most with the longest battery back-up
capabilities on the market.
3-Battery Monitoring
While the battery powers your medical alert, in the event of a power-outage, the
battery condition is constantly monitored. If the battery condition in the medical
alert drops to a warning level, a "Battery Low" message is sent to the Response
Center, and a response center attendant notifies you or one of your responders.
If the battery condition drops to a critical level, your LifeSignal
911 sends a "Battery Fail" indication to the response center, and a response
center attendant notifies you or one of your responders. After a "Battery Fail"
message is sent to the Response Center, your LifeSignal 911 automatically turns
off to prevent battery damage or telephone line interference. Once AC power is restored,
your LifeSignal 911 automatically begins charging
tine battery.
4-Hear and Be Heard
In an emergency situation, the performance of your medical alert's speaker and microphone
can mean the difference between life and death- LifeSignal 911 engineers have designed
a microphone/speaker pair that targets the best technology for increasing voice
range and sound clarity. During an emergency, the LifeSignal 911 medical alarm uses
its simplex coin-munication mode. This greatly increases the coverage and range
of clear communication. The voice range of LifeSignal 911's
medical alarm is up to twice the range ofofher systems using duplex mode! The microphone
in the LifeSignal 911's medical alarm is sensitive enough to hear voice communication
around comers and in other rooms of the house. The speaker volume can be increased
83 times. You will be amazed by our ability to hear and be heard.
5-Emergency
Medical Dispatch Certification.
Each of our EMD certified attendants have attended a multi-day course, which is
the same training that 911 dispatchers receive. To qualify for the EMD course, the
attendants first have to be certified in CPR. These certifications enable the attendant
to recognLse life threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest, choking, heart
attack, and stroke; and allow them to provide dispatch-specific emergency medical
care instructions to subscribers waiting for an EMS response.
LifeSignal 911 EMD attendants are able to deliver an elevated level of
care to subscribers with emergency medical needs that other response centers cannot,
or will not, provide. The LifeSignal 911 Response Center has EMD certified attendants
available on every shift
6-Our goal at LifeSignal
911 is to test each medical alert system every 30 days.
Testing can usually be done in less than 3 minutes, and will not disturb
any of your responders. The purpose of testing is to provide safety, security, and
peace of mind. This is accomplished through regular usage, which promotes confidence
and familiarity with the medical alert system.
